Fear not, O land; be glad and rejoice, for the Lord will do great things!-Joel 2:21, KJ21
When things get too testy for me to handle, it’s easy for my humanity to lose sight of how amazing God is. It’s so tempting to forget that while I may be surrounded by pesky locusts, God will move the swarm away. Or when I’m at the roughest of seas, God will calm them down. Or even when things in life seem to go south, God will kick them up north. He won’t forget my plea, He will never turn it down. And yet, I seem to forget that…
Call me lame, but that’s the truth. Some people will never even have the chance or learning something that’s truly amazing in their lifespan, and we constantly forge ourselves walls that blind us away from the awesomeness outside! So the day’s cloudy? At least the Sun is behind those clouds. So your glass if half-empty? Perhaps it is still half-full for you. So what if it looks dark? Then God will light your way. That’s how amazing He is! And yet, we seem to waste life…
Like I said, “amazing” will never fully describe the depth of God’s love, and grace, and refuge in our lives. when the day is dimming, when the night is coming, when we find ourselves all alone, this is the moment we have to prove to ourselves –and to God-that He is amazing. For me, He is everything. For me, He is glorious. For me, He’s got something greater, something bigger, prepared for me. When will it happen? I don’t know; everything’s amazing at His time.
