Since ancient times no one has heard, no ear has perceived, no eye has seen any God besides you, who acts on behalf of those who wait for him. –Isaiah 64:4, NIV2010
It has been such a Spirit-filled holiday, but now I return to school with a greater awareness of a battle that is to be continuously fought. The seeds of revival have been planted on a youth, dispuesta a reclamar lo suyo. I don’t know what will happen now, but we have a greater cause to fight-we have to win a world for our Lord.
So it’s true: No one has seen or heard a God like Christ, but His Spirit gives testimony of the little details that are to be revealed of our Lord. No one has ever seen or heard of such miracles, such sacudidas, such liberations, but of such zeal for His people. The Spirit can reside on someone who such desires it, not on someone who’s closed up forever.
I’ve gained a greater awareness of the Holy Spirit’s move. Because sometimes we forget that God now lives in us, and we need a reminder that the God unseen before the world is still alive and kicking –and it only needs to be activated by our will. And yes, we may not the “goody two shoes” people expect of other people, but we need to start activating that Spirit within us.
Of course, let us not forget that we need to soak ourselves in the Word and in prayer. We have to share and depend on others, and we have to discipline ourselves. (I need to work on each and every one of them, believe me.) A revival is coming, oh, and I’m so waiting for it!
But for now, Lord, help me fight the good fight with humbleness, glory and grace.
