These are the things God has revealed to us by his Spirit. The Spirit searches all things, even the deep things of God. For who knows a person’s thoughts except their own spirit within them? In the same way no one knows the thoughts of God except the Spirit of God. -1 Corinthians 2:10 & 11, NIV 2010
I have heard of someone that started dancing in the Spirit while working-oddly enough, he had to go to the bathroom. I have even seen someone move while at McDonald’s! It’s even inconceivable that I’ve heard a stir can happen in the middle of the mall, while driving to the mall, at the movies, at a gas station, every time we listen to an anointed worship song, on a church bus, and anywhere the Spirit prompts to deal with someone.
You may think I’m exaggerating, but it can happen! (Not exactly this way, but you know what I mean…) Breakout or no breakout, outpour or no outpour, what is the Spirit actually dealing with? Is it some sort of thorn on a rose we don’t even know about? Is it purifying us? Is it burning? Is it mending hearts? What happens when we don’t feel anything then: nothing? Or is God behind the scenes?
Thank God we have a Holy Spirit that searches through us! It restores us, it cleans us, it brings us closer to God. Remember the wind? It moves whenever it pleases, but we don’t know where it comes from. So is that Spirit in us: God gives it to us, but it’s up to us to want more-and to be willing to open up for it.
And maybe some mysteries should remain mysteries…
