I have great sorrow and unceasing anguish in my heart. For I could wish that I myself were cursed and cut off from Christ for the sake of my people, those of my own race, the people of Israel. –Romans 9:2-4a, NIV 2010
Where can we see such glorious example of passion better than the cross of Christ? He showed the world how to believe and be firm for the cause of Jesus. The cross was only the beginning of a great outpouring of passion given to those who believe in Him.
Sometimes pain can trigger an avalanche of passion: Passion for God, passion for their families, passion for their future. An action can change a city, a nation, a continent, a world. And the Holy Spirit is the one outpouring that avalanche of passion into this generation.
What I am doing right now is my passion. This is the ministry God gave me, and I perform this with pride. He has also promised me that I would do even greater things for His glory, and I await the day I perform what He has promised.
And I know, Amado, maybe you think you don’t have a passion: just wait a bit; if you love doing something, can you do it for God?
