Ever since I heard about Japan being struck by an earthquake AND a tsunami (dangerous combo, y’know?), I’ve been stuck watching CNN this past weekend. It’s so appalling to see how unpredictable this Earth can be. To stock up on some facts:
- As I am writing this post, over 1, 833 bodies have been confirmed dead, plus 2000 found in Nagano…(or Sapporo?) And there are over 9,500 missing in the town of Minamisanriku in Miyagi prefecture –almost half of the town’s population!
- Aftershocks have been hitting Japan, and they will continue. After time, though, they will decrease in size and strength.
- The tsunami reached to over 50 countries and territories. A man even died in California! (He was a presentao, although, common sense tells you NOT to throw pics at the rising waters).
- The Fukushima I and II and Daiichi power plants have been failing because their cooling system failed. This can be the cause of a nuclear veintetú if not handled properly.
- It will cost Japan billions to rebuild –and their GDP (gross domestic product) is in a 2-to-1 ratio, meaning that their debt is half what they already make!
And with all the Hell that’s been going on in the “Land of the Rising Sun”, there is only one thing to say:
神はまだ良いです!
Kami wa mada yoidesu!
God is still good!
God is still good, and I know that His hand will be on Japan and His people. Call it a signal of His return, but I have faith that He will rise up a new revival in this nation-as He promised us in Puerto Rico.
David said to Gad, “I am in deep distress. Let us fall into the hands of the LORD, for his mercy is great; but do not let me fall into human hands.” –2 Samuel 24:14, NIV 2010
