Therefore God exalted him to the highest place and gave him the name that is above every name, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue acknowledge that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father. –Phillipians 2: 9-11, NIV 2011
This meaning, we can practice now. Yes, we’re meant to live and work, eat, sleep and live our lives till the day comes when we don’t have to work, eat, sleep and live our lives in this human flesh anymore. However, there will be a day that we will meet God face to face as He leads our lives into full account.
Even if we’re under a lot of trouble, He still is worthy to be praised.
Even if we’re hounded and tempted by bitterness or by those stupid, little thorns we don’t usually see enflamed in our hearts, He is still worthy to be praised.
Even if we’re desperate to seek His presence in our lives, or if we want Him to help something (although God does not, quote-unquote, “fix” problems at our very whim), He is still worthy to be praised.
Even if we’ll die right now, in a minute, or in another day, He is still worthy to be praised.
Even if things don’t go the way it should’ve been going by our own –and we never should do things on our own-, He is still worthy to be praised.
Then why not practice now, that we’ll see His glory soon?
