They made me jealous by what is no god and angered me with their worthless idols. I will make them envious by those who are not a people; I will make them angry by a nation that has no understanding. –Deuteronomy 31:21, NIV
The eagle has finally started a new day.
The rooster salutes the Sun with his cock-a-doodle-do. A farmer wakes up, dazed and confused, after a horrible tornado struck his town. It was the same thing each year- a twister-like demon would always haunt the village every mid-to-late June. What he saw after that tore-up demon strike was the look of an accidental warzone. there are no chickens, no cows, no ducks, no animals, no nothing. He has no choice but to get his toolbox and starts rebuilding that chicken coop one again.
The farmer has finally started building a new farm.
In the farmer’s mind, he reminisces of an army of strong, built and valorous men. They all carry muskets and rifles and spears, ready to fight against the enemy. These men were strong to leave everything behind to fight for their sons and daughters, wives and mothers. Many are former belligerents, trained and fashioned in the adeptness of war. Still most of them are simple men, whose Divine office remained entrenched in farming or accounting or mortuaries. But for a moment, a brief moment, they banded together to fight.
What set them apart was not important. What led them together became the new resurgence…the new zeal…the new beginning. They will rise, we will rise. Like the eagles. Like the farmers, we will build. Like the armies, we will fight. we will fight to the end. I will fight to the end. What about you?
